I bought two of these just in case I would need one for the future. Well the first one that I put into our security cam system to monitor from the dvr lasted for a good two years. The last couple of days I noticed the security cam monitor would lose signal about every two minutes or so.
I must admit I was skeptical the 935 at $139 (before 10% discount) was up to the task compared to another popular extractor costing twice as much, but I was wrong. So far the 935 works as advertised, albeit with a few quirks that could be fixed with a software update.
Since my AV reciever isn't 4k or arc/eArc ready, I am routing my hdmi connections to my TV, then use eArc out of the TV to the OREI extractor. The audio then routes to my AV reciever through HDMI, and I get all of the Dolby audio formats working perfectly.
Unlike cheaper switches, this one switches instantly and seamlessly. It also produces split screen and PiP for 2 inputs.
